A little bit about us…
Starting out in the early 1990s, our hire business was borne from the sales division of Audio Leisure, a major pro-audio equipment supplier at the time. In recent years, the hire operation became part of Bandshop, which was a leading online music accessory and equipment supplier. We have now come full circle and Bandshop’s main sphere of business is in the event production sector. Our hire business is going from strength to strength!
For over thirty years we are proud to have provided sound and lighting systems at thousands of small to medium sized events and at many prestigious venues across the country. In recent years we have added staging to our hire inventory, and have augmented this by investing in several stage roof structures. We also have a significant stock of Milos heavy duty truss which enables us to construct truss structures any indoor and outdoor event.
Whether a private party or a corporate event, a wedding reception or a small to medium sized festival, we look forward to helping you make your event a fantastic success.

How we go about it…

We don’t do the big festival main stages or large tours – we leave that to the specialists in that field. But what we do is small to medium sized events – and we do them rather well. Small and medium sized festivals, secondary stages at the large festival events, private parties, live music gigs, theatrical productions – with our many years experience we understand the requirements for making any event a complete success.
Our technicians are experienced and well trained with all equipment. They are courteous and friendly and will communicate with venue staff, event organisers and guests politely and professionally at all times. We are punctual and take care loading in and out of the venue. For larger events, an operation supervisor will be in attendance who will ensure all crew work to the highest standards of competence and safety.
We have full public and product liability insurance and will comply with any health and safety policy that a venue may have. Our equipment is regularly PAT tested. Insurance and PAT test certificates are available to view upon request. For truss stage roof structures, a full structural report will be available for any planning authorities who may wish to inspect it. A risk assessment and method statement can be provided if required.
What about the equipment?
Our equipment inventory is carefully selected to provide the best performance possible. We choose to use FBT, Turbosound and Fohhn speaker systems for their unsurpassed audio quality, compact footprint and ease of use. We believe that the sound system at functions and events should be heard but not seen – our FBT, Turbosound and Fohhn speaker systems deliver crystal clear, high quality sound at huge volume given their physical size. As all amplification and processing is built in, set up and breakdown times are significantly reduced – an important factor at venues which cannot guarantee extended set up time.
We use Midas M series digital mixing consoles, with Allen & Heath and Soundcraft analog mixing desks – these brands provide pristine audio quality and flexible features to ensure the sound for your event is the best it can possibly be. With the combination of the Midas M32 consoles, Midas digital stage boxes and Turbosound Siena speaker systems we can run the entire audio chain digitally without any degradation of sound quality.
We continually replenish our hire inventory in order to ensure reliability and to keep up with the latest technology.
